Astrodomus - Astrological Research Ltd. - was incorporated in Macau in 1996. Macau is a former Portuguese enclave in southern China near Hong Kong. The multicultural city is now an autonomous Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Our objective is to analyze and evaluate ancient and modern astrology's main schools of thought and fields of research. 

An on-line bookstore, set up in conjunction with Amazon.com, is our first step towards this aim. Our Book of the Week section will focus on publications by established and emerging authors, including reviews, analyses, discussions and interviews. 

We will put a special emphasis on Chinese astrology, based on direct Chinese sources such as first-hand interviews with Chinese astrologers and our own translations of Chinese texts into the English language.

Luis Ortet is the prime mover in this project. Mr Ortet has settled in Macau two decades ago and is a former newspaper editor who has studied occidental and oriental astrology for more than 30 years. He is the author of a number of books and articles on western and Chinese astrology, geomancy and Chinese customs, beliefs and traditions. Luis Ortet is member of several astrological associations, including the American Federation of Astrologers, the Astrological Association of Great Britain and the NCGR. He is currently working on a book that analyzes the horoscopes and biographies of 30 international celebrities.
